Update: Shopping, Movies & Photo Booths

On Monday ( 16.04.2012 ), went out with Julia ( www.littlemisscrayons.wordpress.com ) and Jennifer to the mall. Haven't seen Jennifer in a long long time! </3 Great to see her again! ♥ And didn't see Julia for about a week since I went to New Zealand.

Anyhoo, we just messed around in stalls, and had lunch. ;D

Trying on Police hats with Jennifer, because we're bad ass like that, HAHA. Really want this for Halloween. ♥

These are really good. And people say this is so little, but had Boost Juice afterwards which fills me right up! ;D

Watched a movie afterwards, which was '21 Jump Street'. I had next to no expectations for this movie since I wasn't going to plan on watching this; wanted to watch 'Battleship', but we decided to watch this one. I didn't even have any idea what this was about, LOL. But was hilarious, love their cute jokes. ♥ 

The next day, Tuesday ( 17.04.2012 ), went out with Julia again, but to the CBD. We were going to Paddy's Market since Julia said everything there was cheap, but turned out it was closed. Don't know for what reason though, :/. So instead, went to take CAPS first, which is an Asian photo booth that's really popular there. 

They turned out pretty cute. 

Went to Galaxy World in Market City which is a gaming centre. We played this dancing game, and spent all of our tokens playing MONOPOLY. Was really difficult since our machine was kinda dodgy. 

Walked around the mall, and bought a really cute and cheap sunglasses case from Dotti. 

Couldn't be bothered to clear my desk before taking a photo, so you can see my maths homework in the background, lol. 

Also bought some Mother Day's gifts which is coming up soon, but I have no idea when. ♥

Had a really nice lunch at Ajisen Ramen. Got the Karaage Ramen. 

After eating, we headed off to karaoke, but turned out it was much more expensive than we thought, and we were running out of time, so we just walked around the streets. Was very close to buying these really cute and cheap denim shirt from SES but decided to think about it. Left it back on the rack, and when I got back to buy it, turned out someone had purchased my size and there was none left. >:( 

Ah well, pretty proud of myself, that I didn't spend more money than I needed to, considering how much I spent going bungy jumping in New Zealand. Working on the rest of the posts from NZ now, feel free to check out the first 4 days:

As for an update on today, I think I'm sick. Have the flu, I reckon. Trying to work on my maths homework, but with my headache, I really don't want to. Finished the Hunger Games so good! ♥ But I reckon the ending is kinda a crappy. It's so sad. </3 No spoilers, LOL.

Anyhoo, that's about it for now. Really need a haircut, lols.

In the Search for Kiwis: PART IV

We left kinda early this time, and headed to some place called 'Mirror Lakes' where the water is so still and clear, it's like a mirror. To an extent, yes it does look like it. (:

It does look like a mirror doesn't it? ;D

We went to go to this creek and filled our bottles up with the pure spring water. It tasted so pure, and really nice! Just different.

Anyhoo, went on another cruise at Milford Sound, but this time on an actual cruise ship with a lunch buffet. The buffet food was so good! And the view was gorgeous, so food + view = heaven. HAHA.

On the way back to shore, we spotted a really cute seal on the rocks. ;D

After we left, there was this massive brick of ice and snow that was in this area, don't know where, but took photos of it. (:

Then we drove to some other river/creek and it was beautiful as well!

When we got to our hotel afterwards, we had freetime for a while and we went to the beach right next to the hotel and it was really beautiful! ♥

We had dinner afterwards at another Chinese restaurant and went off to our rooms.

In the Search for Kiwis: PART III

So the day started off by eating breakfast at a really nice place. (: The view was amazing there and took some photos from the balcony after eating.

So we were in the coach when the tour guide asked if anyone wanted to go bungy jumping, and I just spontaneously raised my hand and decided I would. When we arrived at the destination of the bridge, I immediately chickened out. But since it was one of the things I wanted to do before I die, I decided to suck it up and just do it. It was extremely pricey - $130 for child and I can't remember how much for adult but it was around $250. The place was called AJ Hackett BUNGY New Zealand and was the world's first bungy site.

Does it looks creepy from here? :D 

To say the least, it felt like free falling. Nothing really comes across your mind when you're in the air but afterwards it was like: 'Wow, I just bungy jumped, HAHA.' To this day, I'm still processing the fact that I did it. HAHA.

And yes, that is me. I took this photo of the photo I bought from them. 

So afterwards, I received a free T-Shirt as proof and a certificate. Since these kinds of opportunities don't come and go, bought the photo proof set that they took of the event which was $45. Pricey I know, but now I have something to brag about, ;) HAHA. ♥

After the shock of bungy jumping, we went to a winery and cheesery. HAHA, didn't know the word cheesery existed, LOL. It was really nice there, great lighting, so obviously, photos. ;P

We went inside the place and they had all these different jams that you could sample. They tasted so nice!

 I tried some of their cheeses since I personally LOVE cheese! ♥ And this one was the best one, in my opinion; Garlic & Chive Gouda. Wonder if I can get this in Australia. ;P

Afterwards, drove to a Chinese like garden place. Don't know what town this is but it was in a town. Was really pretty there, even had a little creek. (:

Walked around the town, and there was this really cute street that had all these shops. (: And found this really cute sheep that was chubby looking. Kinda expensive, and I ended up getting it cheaper at another souvenir store in Queenstown. (:

Went to have lunch afterwards at a Chinese restaurant. Lol, everything's Chinese. ;P After lunch we headed off on a steam boat to 'cruise' and the view was amazing! ♥ We had pretty good weather and it was really nice! Only thing was the coal started to rain down on us when the wind changed, and I had a lot of black marks that ended up on my white/cream jacket. >:(

Before we left, we went to an icecream stall that apparently had the best icecream there. I shared a cup with my mum since the one with the cone was massive! Got their special 'Banana Split' flavour which won two awards, and also 'Dark Chocolate'. (: They were really good! ♥ My sister got a cone with the flavour 'Vanilla and Cookies'.

My mum was holding ours, while my sister held hers. (: The banana split flavour tasted like these banana muffins I made last year. (: 

We went on a cable car afterwards, and the view was amazing as well, but the glass was so dirty that the camera couldn't really pick it up. So I actually stuck my hand out the window to take some photos. -.- Dangerous much, HAHA. Oh the extend I go to, just for my blog viewers. (Y)

After the cable car, everyone got to try this really famous place in Queenstown, called 'FERG BURGER', where it's apparently the best hamburger in New Zealand. We looked around in that little shop and the queue was so long, it was outside the shop for miles! So we preordered ours and it was so good! Wanted more, after finishing half of it. Best burger ever!!

Had dinner at another Chinese restaurant and went to another hotel. End of the third day. (:

In the Search for Kiwis: PART II [ w/ plenty eyecandy ]

Second day at New Zealand was tiring with slight jet lag. Didn't take a photo of my breakfast, but it was Western style, and you serve your own. (: Really nice - toast, bacon and eggs. ♥

On the drive, stopped at some place where the water was really blue even though it was cloudy. It was really beautiful. The beach had rocks and everything. I'll let the photo speak for itself. (: ♥

Couldn't really capture the water so took some photos in the coach from my iPod. (: 

Don't even see how it's possible. Looks like paradise, if the weather wasn't so cold. 

Anyhoo, drove over to Mt. Cook which we couldn't see since the weather wasn't excellent. It was raining and really cloudy. So it basically covered the entire view of the mountain.

On the drive around Mt. Cook, we stopped on the road when we had this amazing view of another mountain. It was beautiful, still had a bit of ice at the top of it.

So we went into another place around Mt. Cook and I don't know what the name of it is. Can't seem to recall it. But it was like another museum. Took a photo through stained glass in the museum and surprisingly it turned out really nice. (:

There was a cute model of the mountain ranges and I took a photo of that, but doesn't really do it justice.

Had lunch there as well, I think. Can't really remember, but I had a creamy chicken pie which was quite pricey but really yummy. ♥

Went outside to the balcony area and can someone tell me what a kea is. There was a sign on the door:

Anyhoo, went downstairs where they had a cute museum of Mt. Cook's history and stuff. There was a book for feedback from tourists and I filled it out. It was really interesting reading comments from other people from different countries.

So after lunch and touring a bit, we drove to Queenstown, but before arriving there we had a couple of stops to other places. We stopped when there was sheep that was being herded across the road. My dad took a couple of photos from that. The herd was massive!

We stopped at another place where they had a fruit farm. There was a market and their fruit is quite different to Aussie fruit, more fresh I guess. (: Bought an icecream from there but didn't take a photo of it. Also bought a lotta fruit, but we couldn't take it back to Australia, so ate all of the good stuff. ♥

We got to Queenstown and we went had a bit of free time to wander around the place. Around 30 minutes before dinner. It was really nice, and we got to see some of the sunset. Since the town is situated near the dock, we took some photos. (:

So had dinner at some Chinese restaurant, checked into our hotel and slept.

That was it for the second day at NZ. Most beautiful place ever. I realised that their air is actually more fresh than Australia's and more unpolluted. ;D

In the Search for Kiwis: PART I

So as you probably know, had about a week's holiday to New Zealand but only toured with Sky Tours for the South Island. We didn't have enough time to go to the North Island. This is actually the first time I've gone overseas and not gone to China. Usually when I go overseas it's to China to visit relatives. This time was different, and I was so grateful to travel somewhere different since I do want to travel the world before I die. (:
Anyhoo, shall get into the photos of the first day in New Zealand.

Caught Emirates airplane which was so luxurious. We left Sydney ground at 9.15.A.M.

We even had our own TVs on the back of the chair in front.

Had a really nice lunch of aeroplane food. Don't know why people complain about it, but personally I think aeroplane has it's own nice tastes.

Entree, Main course, dessert, bread, cheese and crackers and chocolate. Also water. (: 

Chicken with baked potatoes and vegetables for main course. (: 

This is actually how Sydney looks like from the skies. (: And sorry, I had the seat near the wings so it's slightly obscuring the view. The dirty window didn't help. Ah well. (:

The view of the New Zealand from the air was amazing, but my camera couldn't get the feel of it. But trust me, it was gorgeous. There was still some ice on the mountains and with the clouds floating above it, it was beautiful. Again, the uncleaned window didn't help, but here's a snap.

New Zealand is so agricultural I swear. From the air you can see pastoral land past the mountains everywhere, HAHA.

All the green boxes. Reminds me of a motherboard of a computer, HAHA. 

We landed at Christchurch, got our luggage and got on our tour bus. We waited for some time for the other people from our tour to arrive before heading off. We took a small tour around the city but since the tour was Chinese and the guide spoke in Mandarin, sadly I could understand little of what he was talking about.

We went to a museum which I have forgotten the name of, something with 'Canterbury' in it. (: Found this hilarious car with a built-in toilet in it. HAHA.

Please ignore me and my sister. (:

Went to take some photos in a nearby Botanic Garden as well. There was a spectacular fountain and it was really beautiful. (:

Yes, ignore my face. I have terrible timing, HAHA. 

Drove around town and to our hotel that we were going to stay at. Didn't take a photo of the hotel because didn't see the point to. We were going to move hotels again the next day as well.

Halfway there, we stopped at the road to look at the stars which from there; without the pollution was really clear and nice. We could see the Milky Way and it was gorgeous. Wish cameras could snapshot those of things but didn't work. Just turned out black. ):

That was it for the first day. Pretty short and simple. (:
