Update: Red Cross Calling! [EYECANDY INCLUDED]

On Friday, the Yr 10 grade had Red Cross Calling duty which was really fun! Took quite a lot of photos. Julia ( www.littlemisscrayons.wordpress.com ) and I decided to be a pair, and collect money together. :D Our destination was at Martin Place :

Guess who we saw? Some guy that hosts some Australian morning show. Don't even know his name, but took a shot of him and got caught, lol...

I saw this really beautiful display of bird cages hung up in a small alleyway while walking around and kinda forced Julia to take a photo of it. (:

Went to Sportsgirl after duty and they had a new photo booth which was free, and we took some photos together, 'cept only allowed once, so we could only take 3. The other 3 were hung up in their wall, and perhaps we might make it into their magazine. :D

Oh and tried these cute warm hats on!

Anyhoo, today went shopping for camp essentials. Haven't bought all my crap yet, still have stuff to get. Got all of them from K-Mart; a really cute small body wash, toothbrush holder and a really really cute and small toothpaste!

And got a book from Dymocks, which was $10.99. 'The Hunger Games' by Suzanne Collins - wanted to read this for the longest time !

Bought two shirts from Chicabooti which is such a cute and affordable store. One in this tribal print and another in a bright turquoise colour. Both were on sale at $9.99.

Since I went with my mum, she got two cardigans and a shirt that I chose for her, and she tried them on and liked them, so I paid for them since it's her birthday soon, and I wanted to get them as her present. (;

Tomorrow, will be going out with Julia to the Coffee Club. Will take photos with her camera, which I think I'm getting really attached to. :P Anyhoo, shall update soon. Sorry for all these photos, must've lagged your computer so much.

Update: I Want to Paint...

I was working on Tuesday, and I had to supervise the naughty class again, and there was this boy named Eddie that was really angry at a group of boys that were calling him Eddie Ding Dong. And he got really really mad and at a point he started throwing chairs. God, I had to stop that and it was painful. But he listened to me when I asked him to stop. So that wasn't too bad. I worked overtime, but voluntarily, so I'm not going to get paid more. Just wanted to help out before my sister leaves. So I marked papers. Gosh, Grade 4 writing papers are so hard to read, since most of the arguments they make, make no sense to me. 

On Wednesday, started a TV series : "Pretty Little Liars" and it's taking me forever to go through the first season since there are so many episodes and each episode is around 40 minutes. It's really interesting, though some episodes give me the chills. Thanks to Julia  ( www.littlemisscrayons.wordpress.com ) who gave me the links.

Since I've been watching so much, I've been drinking a lot of green tea as well, since it tastes good. Been using the mug thing that I got for Christmas. 

Are you allowed to leave the bag inside? Because, I keep refilling it, and can't be bothered to replace it each time. 

I have this strong urge to start painting again. I usually do oil painting, but now I want to start acrylic painting again. I guess, the brushes will be easier to clean. So I need to start buying my art supplies and I'll blog about how it goes. I had to watch a video on Youtube so it'll help me with techniques, and Tim Gagnon is really inspiring me and I want to paint this one, that he did : 

Subscribe to him, I did. He's an amazing artist. I'm going to try and recreate that. I hope it'll actually look something like that. Lol !

Last night, I had 2 hectic hours with the cat. It began with him miawing at a bush, and trying to find something in it, that he couldn't reach. At first I thought he was calling to the birds up in the tree, but I realised it was something in the bush. So I thought it was like an insect or something, so I actually carried him into the bush, but he got really heavy so I stopped. BUT he still kept calling, insistently, so I actually got a broom and started sweeping through the bush. Eventually, a bird flew out. And the cat was chasing after it. My sister was screaming, and my dad was screaming, and I was kicking the cat, well, chasing after him. He got the bird, so it was injured, and when he got his claws off the bird, I carried him inside, so he'll stop chasing after it. And we thought the bird flew away, so we had dinner. 

After dinner, it turned out that the bird was hiding, so my dad, sister and I thought we should try and get the bird out of the yard. So spent another hour trying to scare it outside. And eventually, we did. But took a lot of work. Didn't help that it was really really gusty outside. Blew my hair in my face, so I lost the bird and had no idea where it went, until my dad found it again. 

I'll wrap this up now.

Update: Donuts Anyone ?

I haven't updated in a while now, so I'm going to update for what I've been doing in the past 3-4 days. 

On Friday, I had to work again, and I unfortunately had to deal with the 'naughty' class. But thing is, all the students there call me : "Miss" and I think that is really hilarious. Makes me feel so old. Basically, the class was really naughty and just kept making noises, and talking, even though they knew it was exam conditions. 

There was this one guy named 'Tao' and he just sat through the whole exam and at the end of it, he just guessed all the answers... Oh and there was this other boy, who I forgot the name of, started picking his nose in front of me.. And wiped it on his exam paper. Gosh, I HAD to wash my hands after collecting the papers. T_T

Had KFC for lunch, which was really nice. And also received my pay which was quite a lot - $160. And I just stayed there for the rest of the day. 

On Saturday, I had a dentist appointment in the morning and so I got my teeth cleaned. Funny thing, they found a small hole in one of my teeth. And what's more funny? My sister had a small hole as well in the same tooth ! That suggests something, haha ! Anyways, I have another orthodontist appointment soon, so I can get braces. And my mum just informed me that I might have to knock out some teeth if I am going to get braces since there isn't enough room. That is...going...to be ...more painful than the actual braces...

For the rest of the day, just went grocery shopping with my parents. And happened to eat donuts. Haha ! I hadn't eaten donuts in ages... And so I kinda splurged...We bought 7 donuts in total, and I ate like...three. I should do some exercise...

On Sunday, ( yesterday ), we went to watch a movie which was 'Tower Heist'. I really really wanted to watch that and it was a blast. Gosh, so good ! Really recommend it, because it has Eddie Murphy in it. :D 

Then I went to Typo to grab some manilla folders : 

And also went to Priceline to buy some stuff for Julia ( www.littlemisscrayons.wordpress.com ), who I'm really looking forward to seeing !!

Update: First Job !

Today, I started my job, which I applied last year in December since the 'boss' asked me if I wanted to help out in the Jan hols. It's a tutoring place and I used to attend there, and now my sister does, so I thought it was fitting if I worked there.

Anyways, I went early today since I had no idea what I was supposed to do and so that she had some time to explain to me. So she explained that I was supervising the exam, of one class, which just HAPPENED to be my sister's class. There were 4 exams in total ; 40 mins for 3 exams ( Maths, English and General Ability ) and 20 mins for the Writing exam.

It wasn't that bad, since you basically sit there or walk around looking at people's work and checking if they're using their time wisely. And constantly reminding them to check their time. And also checking if anyone's cheating or doing stuff they aren't meant to. So many of them had issues with questions in the test paper, I had to keep running back and forth asking the teacher about them.

After the exams were done ( they had breaks in between each exam ), we had lunch, and lunch was provided for all staff. So we had pizza. By the way, I turned out to be the youngest one working there. Just great.

Pizza was niceee. All the little kids were drooling over it, which was really funny. There was a hilarious convo with them when they wanted some:

Two boys : Hey, can we have some ?
Jess ( another supervisor ) : No.
Boy : I'll pay you.
Jess : No.
Jordan ( ANOTHER supervisor ) : How much ?
Boy : A dollar.
Jess : Pssht. For a mushroom.
Jordan : A dollar for what ?
Boy : A dollar a piece.
Jess : Piece of mushroom ?
* BOY SULK *

Anyways, I was allowed to leave at 2:30PM when supervisors aren't needed for exams, since it was lessons for the students. But since my sister was staying til 5PM, I had about 2 and a half hours of nothing. So I just went to the office and asked if they needed help. Basically, I just helped run around and do their chores for them for the rest of the day. Gosh, it was tiring. My legs hurt. And I had to go get McDonald's and it was really hot outside - 33 degrees Celcius.
