Update: School Starts Tomorrow!

Here in Australia, school holidays are coming to an end, and school is starting tomorrow. For many other schools, it started today, but for my year, I'm starting tomorrow. I just realised, I'll be starting my first senior year tomorrow ( Year 10 ). 

Had to pack for school today, and I'm kind of nervous for school. And I'm dreading it. 

Such a short rant, but that's basically all I have to say. ;P

Update: Expensive Shopping Haul

Went shopping today and got quite a lot of expensive items. :O I think this is really bad, but anyways, just wanted to share.

I decided to get the Lonsdale bag after much though, but the store that sold it for $30, had crappy colours, so I just ended up getting the Original one ( black and white ) :

Used my red pocket money for that thing ^.

Also went to Priceline because Julia said they were having a sale but ended up getting something I wasn't planning to get. A brush. But my old one was coming apart, so guessed this was worth it. Was $18.99, but reduced to $15.19.

And I went to Coles and got this thing I've been seeing on Youtube recently and it intrigued me ( was $9.99 ) :

And lastly, went to Athlete's Foot to grab some new sports shoes. I now go there to buy my shoes even though it's expensive, since I have to wear orthotics and they have shoes that support them. So I asked the lady for lighter shoes ( ie. running shoes ) and more support on the outside since I kept rolling my ankle. The shoes were $159.99. Oh god. Didn't take a picture though, because I couldn't be bothered. I mean, they're just expensive shoes ...

I shall now go on a no spending challenge, and wish me luck!

Update: Australia Day

Today, went out with Julia ( www.littlemisscrayons.wordpress.com ) and Jennifer and had an amazing day with them at Chatswood Westfield!

It's Australia Day today, so happy Australia Day to all my readers, and since I didn't have any Australian stuff but want to celebrate it somehow, I bought a pair of shades for $2 in a 2 Dollar store :

Received some compliments from wearing these, but they are hard to see wearing them! <3

Went to Diva and the sale of 6 pieces of jewellery for $10 was still on, and so we split it up and we each bought 2 pieces and I got a bracelet and a Playboy necklace :

Went to Equip and took a picture with Jennifer who you can finally see on blog. Don't mind our glasses, mine looks like Harry Potter, HA!

Oh, there was a store named Mish Mash which happens to be both of my nicknames so I had to take a photo with it.

Oh, and took a photo with Beats by Dr. Dre at JB Hi-Fi, it's so rad !

Had sushi for lunch and I think the lighting was off, because my food looks yellow. I promise you that's not what it was in real life, HAHA!

There was this really cute crepe store, that looks really similar to a store in Hong Kong. This one's called Mother's Crepes, and the guy making them was so pro ! He makes them in a perfect circle!

Julia and I both got Chatimes, which I didn't take a picture of, and there was this really hilarious and embarrassing ( well on my behalf ) incident. Basically when Julia was taking pictures of the crepes above, she told me to hold her Chatime and I forgot which was which and I instinctively just drunk one of them, but then realised it was Julia's and freaked out. Apparently I made this hilarious face, haha. Oh gosh.

I received from Julia a beauty exchange box today and souvenirs! Thanks so much for all the stuff, you know me too well! She also wrote this cute postcard, and when my mum saw her handwriting, she asked me where Julia got a typewriter, HAHA! Until I told her it was Julia's writing.

That was my day, hoped everyone had a great day, and happy Australia Day.

Surviving School: Use a Freakin' Diary!

'All successful people own a diary.' - Anonymous

That, I think, is really true. 

If you ever need to have one thing to survive school, it's a diary. Whether it's a personal journal, timetable diary or schedule diary, it's really really useful for keeping things together. Trust me, I love my diary, I'm starting to think I can't live without one. 

A diary would : 

- Remind you the due dates for assignments/projects/essays, etc. 

- Test dates 

- Birthdays, just incase you forgot your mum's birthday 'cause you were too busy ( if that did happen, gosh that's sad ! ) 

- Placing random sheets that don't belong in a particular subject/place. I do this all the time, I just chuck random sheets of paper in my diary just because I'm : 1) Too lazy to paste it in my subject book, or 2) I have no idea where to file this crap. 

- Study timetables 

- and much more uses. 

My diary is my true love. Amen.

Update: Sleeping Late.

I haven't updated in a while, and that's because I haven't done anything interesting lately. But I figured I better post something before my readers think I'm dead. Haha!

Last night, I think I drank too much green tea on the day, but I couldn't sleep for 3 hours. I went to bed at 10P.M and around 1A.M, I got up and just decided to read my book 'War Horse'. I finished the book in 30 minutes and decided to write a diary entry. Honestly, I was so awake, I started to think I'm more of a night person ! Haha! My brain was functioning really well.

Anyways, I woke up today at 9A.M feeling really really tired, but I got up anyways, so to make sure that I will be really tired tonight so I can sleep earlier. I have to wake up early tomorrow, since I'm going with Julia ( www.littlemisscrayons.wordpress.com ) and Jennifer to the mall.

Been a really unproductive week for me; Youtubing, Facebooking, gosh, I think I'm living on internet supplies. Haha! I really should start getting ready for school, which is next week. I can't believe the 6 week holiday went past so quickly!

Update: Happy Chinese New Year!

I want to wish everyone a happy Chinese New Year, and if you don't know already, I'm Chinese so this is a big deal. (:

I hope people got some red pockets, which is basically a tradition for adults to give children 'money' or treats in a red pocket, to wish them a happy new year. The day that every Chinese child waits for, HAHA, I'm kidding.

Yesterday night, went to my grandaunt's place for dinner, where they made really good dumplings. Now I regret not taking photos.

Recently, I'm really into this song by Chris Brown 'With You' :

It's old, but I lost interest in Chris Brown after he 'bashed' Rihanna. </3

Update: Oh no, lemme guess ; Shopping Again?

Yeah, the title says it all. I went shopping with my mum and sister today, at Westfield.

But here is a picture I took yesterday of my cat in a really hilarious position while sleeping :

There was a sale at the jewellery store, Diva where you could get 6 pieces for $10, so my sister and I decided to both get 3 each pay for it together. I got these three :

When I got home, I ate a Golden Gaytime, which sounds really weird but it's this really good iceblock with biscuit crumbs stuck to chocolate covering of icecream.

That was my day. Oh had, lunch at a foodcourt but didn't take pictures because I had a kebab and it looked...dodgy. If you know what I mean.

Update: Girls' Day Out

First of all, I just realised that 'War Horse' is a novel written by Michael Morpurgo. So I'm definitely going to read it, and now I realise why the story was so sad, he writes depressing stories but they are really good. <3 Julia ( www.littlemisscrayons.wordpress.com ), you should check this out ! <3

Anyways, today, went out with Julia ( www.littlemisscrayons.wordpress.com ) and Jennifer to the CBD, and we went shopping around Marketcity. Was really really fun, though I did kind of promise myself not to buy anything, I broke that promise. And I also broke my record of not buying any clothes this year, and we're only 16 days into it. Oh well, I'm happy with what I bought.

I bought a jumper/sweater from Supre that says 'Brooklyn 84 New York Champions' and I'm wearing it now. Really comfortable. <3 <3 <3 Going to use it so so much. Julia has this as well, perhaps we can wear it together on Halloween.

We went to Ajisen Ramen for lunch, which has really good and nice food.

Movie Review: War Horse [ may contain spoilers ]

When I walked into the cinema to watch this, it was filled with 'old people'. Seriously...I was starting to think that I walked into the wrong cinema. BUT, it is about war, so I guess they would be interested.

The movie was really long, it lasted for about 2 and a half hours, which is pretty long. Well, very long.

Description: 
"Spielberg directed war-drama, based on both the children's novel and its stage adaptation, about a British lad who sets out on a journey to rescue his horse from the battlefields of World War I. Albert's (newcomer Jeremy Irvine) pet horse and best friend, Joey, is sold to the calvary at the outbreak of the first World War. Heartbroken, Albert heads to France to find his friend, despite being too young to enlist in the British army. The film follows Joey's journey across Europe and through the war, as well as Albert's search. Also stars Tom Hiddleston (Thor), Benedict Cumberbatch (BBC's Sherlock) and Oscar-nominee Emily Watson (Breaking the Waves)."

I think this movie would be a really educational movie in the future, considering how much depth it gives in the harsh reality of warfare. It shows true friendship which makes this movie emotionally breath-taking. They are torn apart by war, but the horse, Joey, ends the war. 


But it was really emotional for me, obviously and the plot was quite sad. There were a lot of 'what if's and Joey had gone through so many near-death experiences, that it was lucky that he even got through them. 


Rating: 10/10 
Recommendation: Yes. (: It's really really good and worth your time to check out.

Update: Need.To.Exercise.

Haven't updated in a while...kinda been slacking off.

Anyways, on Friday, I had my last day of work, but might go back since my 'boss' is considering me to go back. Got paid again ; $150. That last day was pretty nice. Heard some really hilarious facts from a co-worker at lunch, talked about monkey brains and other awesome facts.

On Saturday, had to go grocery shopping where I also bought my painting supplies. Stayed up really late painting last night, and here is what I've done so far. Isn't finished and I'm planning to work on it more soon.

No where near the end product...

This morning ( Sunday ), woke up early to go to an early movie session at 10:15AM to the movie: 'War Horse'. It was really really good ! Will do a detailed review on it, and there'll be heaps of spoilers.

Played badminton at 3PM, for an hour, after eating all those donuts, this was really needed. Lol !

Tomorrow, I'm going out with Julia ( www.littlemisscrayons.wordpress.com ) and Jennifer to the CBD to hang out. I'm also giving Julia a gift tomorrow and I really hope she'll like it !

I've also been watching a lot of 'Pretty Little Liars', I'm up to the second season now. It's getting really tense and creepy.

Update: I Want to Paint...

I was working on Tuesday, and I had to supervise the naughty class again, and there was this boy named Eddie that was really angry at a group of boys that were calling him Eddie Ding Dong. And he got really really mad and at a point he started throwing chairs. God, I had to stop that and it was painful. But he listened to me when I asked him to stop. So that wasn't too bad. I worked overtime, but voluntarily, so I'm not going to get paid more. Just wanted to help out before my sister leaves. So I marked papers. Gosh, Grade 4 writing papers are so hard to read, since most of the arguments they make, make no sense to me. 

On Wednesday, started a TV series : "Pretty Little Liars" and it's taking me forever to go through the first season since there are so many episodes and each episode is around 40 minutes. It's really interesting, though some episodes give me the chills. Thanks to Julia  ( www.littlemisscrayons.wordpress.com ) who gave me the links.

Since I've been watching so much, I've been drinking a lot of green tea as well, since it tastes good. Been using the mug thing that I got for Christmas. 

Are you allowed to leave the bag inside? Because, I keep refilling it, and can't be bothered to replace it each time. 

I have this strong urge to start painting again. I usually do oil painting, but now I want to start acrylic painting again. I guess, the brushes will be easier to clean. So I need to start buying my art supplies and I'll blog about how it goes. I had to watch a video on Youtube so it'll help me with techniques, and Tim Gagnon is really inspiring me and I want to paint this one, that he did : 

Subscribe to him, I did. He's an amazing artist. I'm going to try and recreate that. I hope it'll actually look something like that. Lol !

Last night, I had 2 hectic hours with the cat. It began with him miawing at a bush, and trying to find something in it, that he couldn't reach. At first I thought he was calling to the birds up in the tree, but I realised it was something in the bush. So I thought it was like an insect or something, so I actually carried him into the bush, but he got really heavy so I stopped. BUT he still kept calling, insistently, so I actually got a broom and started sweeping through the bush. Eventually, a bird flew out. And the cat was chasing after it. My sister was screaming, and my dad was screaming, and I was kicking the cat, well, chasing after him. He got the bird, so it was injured, and when he got his claws off the bird, I carried him inside, so he'll stop chasing after it. And we thought the bird flew away, so we had dinner. 

After dinner, it turned out that the bird was hiding, so my dad, sister and I thought we should try and get the bird out of the yard. So spent another hour trying to scare it outside. And eventually, we did. But took a lot of work. Didn't help that it was really really gusty outside. Blew my hair in my face, so I lost the bird and had no idea where it went, until my dad found it again. 

I'll wrap this up now.

Update: Donuts Anyone ?

I haven't updated in a while now, so I'm going to update for what I've been doing in the past 3-4 days. 

On Friday, I had to work again, and I unfortunately had to deal with the 'naughty' class. But thing is, all the students there call me : "Miss" and I think that is really hilarious. Makes me feel so old. Basically, the class was really naughty and just kept making noises, and talking, even though they knew it was exam conditions. 

There was this one guy named 'Tao' and he just sat through the whole exam and at the end of it, he just guessed all the answers... Oh and there was this other boy, who I forgot the name of, started picking his nose in front of me.. And wiped it on his exam paper. Gosh, I HAD to wash my hands after collecting the papers. T_T

Had KFC for lunch, which was really nice. And also received my pay which was quite a lot - $160. And I just stayed there for the rest of the day. 

On Saturday, I had a dentist appointment in the morning and so I got my teeth cleaned. Funny thing, they found a small hole in one of my teeth. And what's more funny? My sister had a small hole as well in the same tooth ! That suggests something, haha ! Anyways, I have another orthodontist appointment soon, so I can get braces. And my mum just informed me that I might have to knock out some teeth if I am going to get braces since there isn't enough room. That is...going...to be ...more painful than the actual braces...

For the rest of the day, just went grocery shopping with my parents. And happened to eat donuts. Haha ! I hadn't eaten donuts in ages... And so I kinda splurged...We bought 7 donuts in total, and I ate like...three. I should do some exercise...

On Sunday, ( yesterday ), we went to watch a movie which was 'Tower Heist'. I really really wanted to watch that and it was a blast. Gosh, so good ! Really recommend it, because it has Eddie Murphy in it. :D 

Then I went to Typo to grab some manilla folders : 

And also went to Priceline to buy some stuff for Julia ( www.littlemisscrayons.wordpress.com ), who I'm really looking forward to seeing !!

Update: First Job !

Today, I started my job, which I applied last year in December since the 'boss' asked me if I wanted to help out in the Jan hols. It's a tutoring place and I used to attend there, and now my sister does, so I thought it was fitting if I worked there.

Anyways, I went early today since I had no idea what I was supposed to do and so that she had some time to explain to me. So she explained that I was supervising the exam, of one class, which just HAPPENED to be my sister's class. There were 4 exams in total ; 40 mins for 3 exams ( Maths, English and General Ability ) and 20 mins for the Writing exam.

It wasn't that bad, since you basically sit there or walk around looking at people's work and checking if they're using their time wisely. And constantly reminding them to check their time. And also checking if anyone's cheating or doing stuff they aren't meant to. So many of them had issues with questions in the test paper, I had to keep running back and forth asking the teacher about them.

After the exams were done ( they had breaks in between each exam ), we had lunch, and lunch was provided for all staff. So we had pizza. By the way, I turned out to be the youngest one working there. Just great.

Pizza was niceee. All the little kids were drooling over it, which was really funny. There was a hilarious convo with them when they wanted some:

Two boys : Hey, can we have some ?
Jess ( another supervisor ) : No.
Boy : I'll pay you.
Jess : No.
Jordan ( ANOTHER supervisor ) : How much ?
Boy : A dollar.
Jess : Pssht. For a mushroom.
Jordan : A dollar for what ?
Boy : A dollar a piece.
Jess : Piece of mushroom ?
* BOY SULK *

Anyways, I was allowed to leave at 2:30PM when supervisors aren't needed for exams, since it was lessons for the students. But since my sister was staying til 5PM, I had about 2 and a half hours of nothing. So I just went to the office and asked if they needed help. Basically, I just helped run around and do their chores for them for the rest of the day. Gosh, it was tiring. My legs hurt. And I had to go get McDonald's and it was really hot outside - 33 degrees Celcius.

Anyways, I'll wrap this up now, too long.

New Years Resolutions

I usually don't do new years resolutions since I never keep them anyways, but since everyone's thinking about them, I'll write mine up. Hopefully this time, I'll be able to do them (:

These aren't in any order. (:

- Study harder. 
Last year, I actually completely bludged and didn't make time for study, which you should NOT do. Definitely need to make more room for study.

- Limit my use on the internet. 
Last year, I couldn't concentrate on my school work and thus, didn't put my 'all' in my assignments because of the internet. This year, I plan to not completely erase the internet from my life, but actually have a limited time, that I'm allowed on it. And probably incorporate some sort of punishment if I don't. :P

- Read more books. 
Last year, I haven't read many books, ):

- Keep my desk/workplace much much cleaner. 
My desk is a complete pig sty. I've just chucked everything under the bed slightly cleaned some stuff off and I'll need to keep it clean this year.

- Get into the habit of making my bed every morning. 
'Nuff said.

- Be a better friend. 


- Stop laughing at every single awkward statement I make. 


- Try not to be so emotional in life, situations and MOVIES. 


- Not to spend so much money. 


Okay, maybe this is why I always fail my new year resolutions. MY LIST IS SO DARN LONG !

Lol, it'll be awesome if I can at least accomplish half of them for 2012. (:
