Update: Hunger Games and Boost Juice

Finally got to watch the Hunger Games movie today!
Honestly, I had high expectations, and it wasn't that good,  in terms of what I expected but really enjoyable. It was interesting, but my sister found it really boring. I suggest you read the book first, before watching it, it really helps understand the background much more, and you'll enjoy it more. Honestly, wish I had a guy that was like Peeta. ;3 ♥

I'm still giving it a 10/10. :3 I heart the Hunger Games. ♥ ♥ ♥

So since I practically ate a bag of chips in the cinemas so had Boost Juice, which I hadn't had in ages. Got an original Berry Berry Light.  ♥

There were these really cute baby chicks in the shopping centre, and obviously I had to go handle them. HAHA, that came out dirty, sorry. :P But seriously, they were dayum cute. Oh, by chicks, I mean chickens, not girls, in this context. :3

Look at the little balls of fluff! Too cute. ♥

Anyhoo, held this one, and also a black one but didn't take a picture of the latter. :P

They were so fragile and fluffy. I think one of them crapped onto the floor, HAHA. Oops. Sorry, chick.

Bought a shirt from Jayjays today, was on sale for $10, but didn't take a photo of it since it wouldn't do it justice. Also bought 3 bracelets from them as well. Went to Finkle to have a look around since my mum was buying a hat from there. It's this really cute boutique on the streets. Ended up getting a really simple belt for $10 as well. (:

Afterwards, had maths tutoring. Tomorrow will have tennis training in the morning and I want to go running, but I don't think I'll have time considering the mountain load of homework I have to do, but I am considering it. (:

That's it for now, thanks for reading!

Love,

Update: Fluffly White Clouds and Pizza

Kinda a random post, not necessarily on anything interesting today, but took more photos than usual so you have some eye candy, hehe. Anyhoo, I'll start with what I had for lunch today; creamy mushroom pasta. The best in the pasta world - absolutely my favourite. It's just so good and creamy!! ♥

Had Harmony Day Assembly today, and we had this really motivating and inspiring guest speaker to the assembly today. I forgot her name, but basically it's about racism in society and it's really interesting to see how passionate she is about her topic and how she became an activist.

Anyhoo, on the bus today, saw a piece of graffiti that said SNIPER. Thought it'll be cool to add it in my post. :3

Awkward angle, but there was a girl next to it and couldn't get a good angle.
Had my last Matrix coaching session for the term since next Friday is Good Friday, and no school! Yay, basically Easter holidays by then. ;D Bought a slice of really good pizza for $2.50 before class.

Sorry, was halfway through when Julia ( www.littlemisscrayons.wordpress.com ) remembered to take photos of our food. :D
When I got home, there were really pretty clouds, like a painting and I decided to take a picture of it. ;D

Isn't it beautiful ? (:
Tomorrow, planning to go to movies and finally watch 'The Hunger Games' since I've been literally DYING to watch it since I finished the book last week. Can't wait! Heard it's really good. ♥

Anyhoo, not much to say now. Have maths tutoring tomorrow, and getting excited for the Easter holidays. (: Will be heading off to New Zealand for the first week of holidays and I'll make sure to take plenty of photos.

That's about it for now.

Thanks for reading!

Update: Language Festival and Spider Webs

Today had the school language festival which so so so fun since no one even went to class. 'Cept for the last period with was maths, but other than that it was really tiring yet fun! I didn't dress up as anything though since I didn't have a qipao ( Chinese traditional clothing ) OR a kimono. But there was a classmate who did wear one and it was so beautiful! Makes me want a kimono even more!

This morning, went to school super early since I thought there was badminton training, but turned out it was cancelled since there was the festival and people had to use the sport hall for their stalls. But I took some nice photos in the early morning of the school. (:

The bin. ;D

Found a spider web, and attempted to take a photo of it, hopefully you can see it. ;D
So didn't end up taking many photos of the festival itself, plus I'll have to get permission from people if I can put their face on my blog, lol! Anyhoo, I had to make okonomiyaki ( Japanese pancakes ) for the first period, but I got so absorbed into flipping and cooking it, I ended up doing 3 periods! It was really hot and my legs ended up with different temperatures; one was really hot and the other was really cold. HAHA. Didn't take a photo of the pancakes though, they don't look nice and appetising, but bought one afterwards and they were really good! ♥

Hung out with Julia ( www.littlemisscrayons.wordpress.com ) for the rest of the day to look at games and food. Spent most of my money on food, rather than money since I like food better. ;D ♥

I ate these really nice Korean rice cakes on a skwer with spicy sauce which are my favourite! ♥ Took a photo of it. ;D

Ignore my face. :3
Afterwards, also had a bowl of really spicy Korean food as well. No idea what it was but it had rice cakes and it was really good! ♥ But extremely spicy. Drank a lot of water, HAHA. I wonder how I survived. But my stomach had some issues after wards....

I know; it looks like a piece of poop, but it was good! ♥ Oh, and you shudda seen Julia's reaction to a small piece - priceless. :3
Julia and I also went to this stall which was a competition against time to eat a donut off a piece of string. We chose a small one, because I don't even think I could've handled a big one; and it was actually harder than I thought. Because somehow, the donut just absorbed all my saliva and I found it hard to break it up, so I forced it down my throat in 30 seconds! Woo! So happy.

The two cute donuts. I wish I enjoyed them more, I ate them so quickly. ;P
Also went to the Oracle which was so funny because the girl that was there was a great actor and takes drama lessons. The way she talked was hilarious and the way she opened her eyes really large was funnehhhh! ♥

The little self-made tent thing. :3
Also watched people sumo wrestle, but didn't want to take a picture of them with their faces in it, but a group of boys were wrestling and one of them just picked the other up and chucked them off the stage, HAHA.

Anyhoo, I have an assignment due tomorrow which I haven't started and forgot about the whole week. D: Better get started on that, and I'll be doing monthly favourites soon too! I haven't forgotten about that! ;D

Update: Caesar Salad & Sausage Rolls

Haven't updated in a while, so took a picture of my lunch today so I can share something interesting. The school makes these amazing caesar salads, but they are a bit pricey. I was really hungry so bought a sausage roll for good measure. For the record, it's not as good as some of the other's I've tried at cafe's. :P

Tomorrow at school, is the Language Festival. It's held every 2 years and basically there are stalls that are made by students and they sell things to raise money for the Language Faculty. It's really fun! Mostly the food is the best. ♥ But there are games and other stalls as well.

I'm in the Japanese stall and this year, we're in charge of selling and making Japanese food. We're making Onigiri and Okonomiyaki. Hopefully I'll take successful photos of the language festival. ;D

Anyhoo, the other day, I found these mega cute drawings of Naruto and Sakura for the language festival.

I just realised her chopsticks are floating; BAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

I like the Naruto drawing slightly more, but aren't they awesomely cute?! I really want to know who drew these so I can bribe ask them to draw me some too. ;D

Really excited for tomorrow, I'm so sorry for the lack of posts lately. Haven't had any inspiration lately. Any suggestions please leave it in my c-box on the left hand side of the page. (: For your information, you don't have to fill in the section for : 'email / URL'. :D

Update: Back From School Camp

I'm finally back from Yr 10 School Camp which was one of the best camps I've had so far. It was fun, but tiring since we had to do a lot of physically training; if you know what I mean. ;) Anyhoo, it was really hard to take photos of stuff since I couldn't bring my camera along with me to the places where we trained so I'll make a brief update on it. (:

Basically we travelled from school for about 45 minutes max. on these really comfy coaches. Partnered with Julia ( www.littlemisscrayons.wordpress.com ) and we both just chilled and listened to music. When we got there, we were debriefed and placed into our own cabins, whom we both went with two other awesome chicks. In our classes, we each went to out afternoon activities and for my class, we went to archery and abseiling first. Both were really enjoyable.

That night we partied til around 10.30P.M when the teachers got kinda mad. There was this hilarious moment when we thought a teacher opened the door and everyone just scattered and laid on the ground as if that would TOTALLY hide us. But turned out it was just another fellow school mate. LOVED EVERYONE'S REACTIONS. We ate so many Pringle's with salsa sauce. Couldn't really sleep that night; kept waking up in the middle of the night.

Second day, I was a complete zombie from lack of sleep. Had breakfast where the teachers had the privilege of getting bacons and eggs, while we only had toast and other cold stuff. The weather wasn't looking too good, really cloudy. Later in the morning it did actually start raining. In the morning, I had sport science and sport initiatives. Sport science was where we had all these fitness tests to see where our levels were for personal reasons. For the record, I didn't do that well... Sport initiatives was, well, a lecture on the HSC...

Had lunch which I can't remember what it was, and then headed to afternoon activity which was kayaking. I really love kayaking. But first would have to be archery. Can do that all day long. ♥ Thank god the rain had stopped by then, else we'll be kayaking wet. My arms were going to fall off after but it was still worth it. Plus, the scenery was beautiful. Wish I could've taken my camera but with the cloud cover, it wouldn't have done it justice.

Took a shower after then, and went to dinner which was so good! Lasagne with salad as a side. ♥ Had night activities which was games in a really large court. Never had so much fun before! ♥

When we got back to the cabin, there were cockroaches everywhere. Over the shelf and there was one on my pillow. Ew. After using an entire can of cockroach spray or whatever that stuff is, we still had heaps. So we packed and moved cabins. I think it was from all the food we had the night before. But in the other cabin, there was still an amount of cockroaches. But still managed to sleep at least.

The last activity before we left after lunch was the rope course which was around 10 metres up where you were attached to a harness and it was an obstacle course on ropes. It was quite daunting, but when we got get down with the flying fox, it was so freaking fun! ♥

After lunch, got back to school and I still had Matrix coaching afterwards which was really tiring. My eyes were drooping by half way. Got home, had a good shower and got a really nice long sleep.

Today ( Saturday ) had Chinese school in the morning which turns out to be the last lesson for this term. I also bought some groceries which were lip balm, QV Cream, hair ties and deodorant.

Had maths tutoring after wards which was slightly tedious. And I'm completely dead right now since I'm blogging so late. But have a lot of tests next week and need to study for them tomorrow, so might not have time to blog again tomorrow. Also have tennis training tomorrow morning so better sleep earlier. Lol!

Anyhoo, shall blog again soon I hope.

Update: The Art of Spending Money

This morning, wrote up some maths notes, and got a bit bored, so I ended up drawing one of my sister's favourite anime characters; Haku from the Naruto series. Here's how it looks:

It was on lined paper lol.
Had to get more travel supplies, so got cotton buds. And since I was out of my make up remover, got a bottle of that as well. I've used about 3 bottles of those already, so good! ♥

Swisspers cotton tips, and Simple Kind to Eyes Make up Remover.
My mum bought some things from Clinique, so I tagged along and got myself sample of their cleanser so I can take some for camp. And a gift set came with the purchases, and I got this. (: You might recognise the bag from this post: http://ilikestarryskies.blogspot.com.au/2012/02/update-whats-in-my-beauty-bag.html except the lining's purple. (:

Decided to make the brownies next week, since I'll be going to camp soon, and might not finish them in time. Also bought some hot cross buns today, best things ever!!  ♥    Besides sausage rolls of course. ;P

Anyhoo, have school tomorrow, and sport; cycling. Shall be interesting. ;D Have an orthodontist appointment on Tuesday, might be getting braces soon, yay.

That's about it for today!

Update: Lucky Dip Magazine?

Yesterday, had Chinese school in the morning which was cool. I went to go grab some stuff afterwards.

Went to Sportsgirl, which happened to be having a 15 % off discount everything in store, and bought an emery board since my other one broke. ):

DOLLY magazine is having a time where you don't know what's with the mag inside. They come in a silver plastic bag, and you can't see what's in it, and basically they're calling it a 'lucky dip'. Heh. I bought one, and this is what I mean by silver:

What you can get. (:

What I got with the mag; a poster book, and an eyeliner.
Won't be reading the mag, and instead will bring it to camp, so I can read it before I go to bed. How fun. ;P

Anyhoo, also got bobby pins since I ran out.

Pricey, but the best ones you can get! <3
Bought some Eclipse breathmints as well, since I know I'll be eating heaps at camp. ;D

Might make brownies today, shall have a separate post on that soon. Also might post about what I'm bringing to camp, and for the record, I haven't packed yet, lol.

Update: Easter's Coming

Today, had band rehearsal this morning which was fun. The first period, I had science where our booklets were due, and then we had to do an unexpected topic test on Chemistry. It was okay, on the first page at least since it was multiple choice, but when it got to the second page, there was the task of balancing equations and for some reason, my equations were never quite balanced. Got really pissed, lol.

At lunch, my friend bribed me to buy her chocolate eggs which were highly overpriced at 40 cents for one, and for the size of them, there were really overpriced. Nevertheless, with my friendship, I bought two, one for my other friend and one for me. :D

Anyhoo, watched a documentary on Genocide and the Nazi Germany, which was really interesting. I love history, it gives an insight on the human race. (:

Had Matrix coaching this afternoon as well, which was tiring for me, since I was already really tired. Planning to make brownies soon, since it's my mum's birthday today. Happy Birthday Mum! Love you. <3

Anyhoo, might make a post on what I'm packing for camp next week. Which I'm not that thrilled about, but still hope to enjoy. :D Have a Chinese test tomorrow, must study. Watched this week's Pretty Little Liar's episode, the dolls seriously creeped me out. I mean seriously, what's up with that? :P

Hope I discover who A is soon!

Update: Neutralisation

Yesterday, did a science experiment which was neutralisation. For those who don't know what that is, it has something to do with the pH of a solution and to neutralise it, you add acid to a base, until the correct amount is added and the pH is approximately around 7. This is actually really hard, and no one got a green solution ( since we added universal indicator beforehand ). Basically we had a mL of base and we slowly added drops of acid to the base and hopefully watch it turn green. The key was to swirl, and my friend took care of that, while I had to control the drops of acid.

We did it three times and on the third one, the solution kept turning too acidic. BUT I said, 'Screw accuracy.', and basically contaminated the Pasteur Pipette by just dropping base into the solution. After a really long time, we FINALLY made it green, and when the teacher asked how many drops, I said I lost count, HAHA.

Ain't it beautiful? :D
Today, had badminton training in the morning, and it was really fun, but not as fun as usual, since the hall was occupied for the primary kids who were going to do the Selective Test.

Also had a history in-class essay assessment, in which, the question was easy and vague, but there just wasn't much time ( 30 mins ) to try and write about 2-3 pages worth of details. My handwriting was terrible, I just wrote what the word shape roughly looked like and I pray that the teachers can read it.

Have Matrix tomorrow, and really need to do that homework, lol! Might bake brownies in the weekend, don't know, but will take a picture of it, and shall eat it like a pig. ;D

School camp is next week for 3 days, so might not blog for a while, but will take some photos, and hopefully it'll be more fun than I expect it to be, since it is, after all, a study camp.

Anyhoo, shall update soon, again. (:

Update: Where is My Kitty?

So sad right now, have no idea where my baby kitty went. He didn't come this morning like he usually does for breakfast, and it's usually really strange but it's not like it didn't happen before. It has. But over those times, he has returned back around afternoon, if not evening. But he still hasn't gotten back and it's 8P.M. Getting really worried, like I always do when he disappears.

He's such an adorable freakin' cute cat and I love him, can't lose him. </3

Where are you? :'(
Michelle <3

**UPDATE**

He came back around 8.45P.M, just then. ;D I'm glad. <3

Update: Egg Benedict and Heels!

Met up with Julia ( www.littlemisscrayons.wordpress.com ) around 11A.M, today to go eat lunch and shop. It was so fun! Since it was still rather early, went around window shopping, and we decided to go to 'Rubi Shoes' to try on heels for the fun of it. Yeah, girls are strange. Hehe.

These are by far my favourite ones of all the ones we tried. Oh by the way, Julia is on the left.

Really want these now.
These are my second favourite.

and a continuation from Friday's hats.

So went to the Coffee Club, and food was expensive but so good! Ordered what Julia had, which was an Ice Tea and Egg Benedict, which was soooo gooood!!! Thank you to Julia, :3

Bling bling Julia. ;P
Tried on heaps of clothing, since we were so bored, lol. But was really fun, just got tiring. Anyhoo, bought this really cute storage from Priceline. Love it so much!

Lid off.
Had a really great day today, I let the pictures speak for themselves.

Shall update again, later.

Update: Red Cross Calling! [EYECANDY INCLUDED]

On Friday, the Yr 10 grade had Red Cross Calling duty which was really fun! Took quite a lot of photos. Julia ( www.littlemisscrayons.wordpress.com ) and I decided to be a pair, and collect money together. :D Our destination was at Martin Place :

Photography creds to Julia ( www.littlemisscrayons.wordpress.com )
SO PRETTY!
While waiting to be debriefed, I took this photo with Julia's pro camera. ;D

Guess who we saw? Some guy that hosts some Australian morning show. Don't even know his name, but took a shot of him and got caught, lol...

I saw this really beautiful display of bird cages hung up in a small alleyway while walking around and kinda forced Julia to take a photo of it. (:

Went to Sportsgirl after duty and they had a new photo booth which was free, and we took some photos together, 'cept only allowed once, so we could only take 3. The other 3 were hung up in their wall, and perhaps we might make it into their magazine. :D

Oh and tried these cute warm hats on!

Anyhoo, today went shopping for camp essentials. Haven't bought all my crap yet, still have stuff to get. Got all of them from K-Mart; a really cute small body wash, toothbrush holder and a really really cute and small toothpaste!

And got a book from Dymocks, which was $10.99. 'The Hunger Games' by Suzanne Collins - wanted to read this for the longest time !

Bought two shirts from Chicabooti which is such a cute and affordable store. One in this tribal print and another in a bright turquoise colour. Both were on sale at $9.99.

Since I went with my mum, she got two cardigans and a shirt that I chose for her, and she tried them on and liked them, so I paid for them since it's her birthday soon, and I wanted to get them as her present. (;

Tomorrow, will be going out with Julia to the Coffee Club. Will take photos with her camera, which I think I'm getting really attached to. :P Anyhoo, shall update soon. Sorry for all these photos, must've lagged your computer so much.

Shall update soon. (;
