new beauty products

Recently purchased these beauty items, and I'm quite enjoying them so here are short reviews to read :

The Body Shop Almond Hand & Nail Cream
Packaging: 7/10
really nice and handy, and can fit into your bag/purse so it's great for on the go. Only down side is that the metal squeezy tube pushes the product out a bit when you open it so you get a bit more than what you want, but I guess the good side to this tube is that you can get your money's worth by being able to get down to the very last bit.
Texture: almost gel-like but creamy, feels refreshing
Fragrance: smells quite strongly of almonds and nuts
Price: quite expensive for 30mL, it retails at $9.95 for this size or you can get a larger one for $17.95
Performance: 7.85/10
very moisturising on the hands. My hands are noticeably softer
The product: 6.5/10
Looks like a harsh rating but it's a good hand cream, definitely really nice for dry skin but there are better ones on the market for a lower price.

Perfect Potion soothe cleansing gel
Packaging: 6.5/10
Meh, it's okay, made out of plastic bottle but it's sturdy. Looks a bit cheap, but don't judge the product by its cover! ;)
Texture: soft gel, very little to medium foaming
Fragrance: strong herbal and essential oils scent, but I find this really invigorating in the morning, some may dislike this
Price: expensive. This small bottle cost $29.95.
Performance: 7.65/10
cleanses skin quite well, leaves bit of a tacky feeling after. The scent is really refreshing but it does linger on the skin after cleansing. But definitely does the job and doesn't break me out which is a plus.
The product: 7/10
Very good but considering the price it can do better, I'll still been the scout for another one.

Perfect Potion geranium moisturising emulsion
Packaging: 7.5/10
Although it's made out of plastic, it's really sturdy and the pump makes controlling the amount of product that comes out very easy.
Texture: gel-like consistency
Fragrance: a bit strange. Like herbal and essential oils scent but mixed with a really strange artificial cream smell. Those with a sharp gag reflex like me will need to hold their breath.
Price: again quite expensive $29.95
Performance: 8/10
This is really really good. I only use it in the morning to help control oil but also deeply moisturise, and layer a light moisturiser on top. After two weeks of use, there has been a significant difference in the texture and feel of my skin, it feels softer and smoother and more 'plump'. Hasn't broken me out at all, and I'll definitely continue to repurchase this.

Loreal ELVIVE Extraordinary Oil
Packaging: 8/10
Feels expensive, it's pretty heavy and encased in a heavy fake-glass bottle.
Texture: heavy oil, but once spread out it's silky smooth and weightless, feels like it melts into your hands and hair
Fragrance: pleasant subtle nutty smell
Price: not bad since this bottle will last ages as you only need threes drops or more for the whole length of hair depending how long your hair is
Performance: 8.25/10
Makes your hair heavenly silky and soft. Feels lightweight and doesn't weigh your hair down at all. Super versatile, I find it best to use after your hair dries as a styling conditioner.

Hope you enjoyed this, let me know at ask.fm/mishqurl

mbti test

Recently just took the mbti test. For those who don't know what it is, it's a personality test where you answer a series of 'yes' or 'no' questions and the score will generate your personality in four letters to summarise your answers. There are 16 different types of personalities, all of which are equal, and there are no better ones than others. This test is really useful if you want to know more about yourself (ask your friends to do it, so you know more about them ;) ) and also finding adequate career options that suit your personality the best.

I took my test on this website (aka, there are no viruses or scams): http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/jtypes2.asp

It has concluded that I am a INTJ and once I researched a bit deeper on this and the traits don't surprise me at all. They are actually really accurate. But surprisingly, I read that my personality type was one of the most rare, and also that Michelle Obama and Jane Austen has/had the same personality as me.

In summary of what I have read;

- I seem to have high self-confidence, which can come off as arrogance to some people
- I have a deep respect for knowledge and intelligence, so I immediately disregard other people's ideas especially if they are fuelled by emotions
- that being said, I'm open-minded to new solutions
- I have a rational and logical thinking, making me suitable to science and engineering careers
- I am a natural leader but I don't take up the "spotlight" if someone more extroverted takes the position
- I am imaginative and strategic
- I despise those that depend on their emotions to make decisions and ideas, and think of them as either immature or irrational
- I am very independent and like to be honest and direct
- I am able to analyze anything that life throws at me, uncovering the underlying methodology and then applying it in practice

That being said, as all personalities, I have my weaknesses;

- very clueless at emotional situations, especially when it comes to romantic relationships
- may come off as insensitive since I don't value emotions over logical thinking
- judgmental - I reach my own conclusions and stick to them
- likely to over-analyse everything
- perfectionists
- hopeless at social situations
- loathe highly structured environments - I tend to hate authoritarian figures, especially those that make no sense
- really hard to be friends with me; and most of the ones I have will not experience any sort of emotional attachments or affection from me (haha poor them)

I've taken most of this information from this site which you might like to check out if you do take the test since it goes through a really good in-depth talk of your personality:
http://www.16personalities.com/

After all of that in-depth reading and research, I now know what I have to improve on for myself, but that being said, my personality is who I am, so I'm not trying to change that, just trying to improve the weaknesses I have.

Have a good one xo

Update: post exams

Wow can't believe I just survived the first round of assessments..definitely an obstacle since I fell pretty sick on the day before but somehow managed through it. Although I have to say, since two of my subjects were practicals (chem and bio) I didn't need to study for them and so this placed a lot of time on my hands.... Which means procrastination. I've found this show on YouTube (nt a YouTube show though lol) called the dog whisperer. Oh my gosh it's so good, haha, making turn into a dog lover just by watching. But it really helps teach tricks to train and discipline your dog in an effective way.

Anyways I have a quite a bit to do now that exams are over and I shall try to blog more often maybe photos here and there.

- shall be celebrating my birthday soon
- and watching 'catching fire' soon as well, heard only good reviews so far so that's pleasing
- shopping (both Xmas and self hehe)
- really looking forward to finally relaxing for a while yay
- maybe catch up on some nice leisure reading

Hope you're doing well, have a good one xo

Update ; exams

Oh my god I didn't even realise how close we are to HSC assessment 1
It's in two weeks and it doesn't even feel like I've learnt anything, let alone study.

On a side note I've been thinking about uni courses and such
- pyschology/ marketing or pyschology/criminology at unsw (about 97 ATAR)
- pharmacy 92 ATAR ?
- nursing ( I have no idea what the ATAR for this is, but maybe low )
- bio/med or maybe genetics
- physiology ?

I'm so conflicted but after HSC I'm planning to take up some classes for makeup and photography as sort of a backup plan so I don't starve or go broke haha. Then find a job at MAC or some cosmetics counter with makeup experience haha. Omg. Excited.

So worried about English orals, I feel as if my related text doesn't really relate to my core text haha. But oh well, I'll choose another for my trials.

Things to do :
- English practice speech due on Monday ( omg English is taking so much of my time wtf )
- modern notes
- bio notes !!!
- chem notes x.x
- math past papers
- math revision
- modem past papers

Eh blogging suggestions / requests to ask.fm/mishqurl

movie review; now you see me

Wow, probably this has to be one of the most exhilarating movies I've seen so far - if you haven't seen it yet please do, it's really is as good as the trailer advertises it to be.

I don't want to spoil it too much but the storyline follows four magicians who are put together into a show 'the Four Horsemen' by a secret person. Later revealed, these shows appear to have been  planned beforehand for a world wide audience. Their first show was a trick in robbing a bank, and from there they continuously commits more crimes on a global scale. The FBI are on the case and the plot reveals so many twists and turns you'll be pleasantly surprised.

I have to comment on the excellent casting for the four magicians and not so much on the choice for the FBI agent (forgot his name haha) who was Bruce from hulk (can't remember the actor's name either- how convenient haha). His personality and look doesn't really go well with the character but nevertheless it made things interesting.

The magic tricks were thrilling to watch, but as soon as you think you understood how the trick was played out, it twists and leaves you baffled. When they do reveal how they did it, you can't help but stop to marvel at its ingenious and meticulous planning it must've taken. For sure, I wouldn't have thought of something so elaborate haha.

Rating: 7.35/10

Go watch !!!

Movie reviews: Thor 2 & Gravity

Thor 2 :

Ever since I was a kid I have been fascinated with superman comics and stories, despite the general "boy genre" it was classified under. But I always wanted to have super powers and save the world and blah blah blah. By far, my favourite "superhero" had always Thor, maybe from his manly presence and the way he talks reminds me of Romeo and Juliet. But he has strong admirable qualities just like all the other superheroes. The thing that placed him apart from the other heros, for me, was his past and his origins; he's from another world, which was something I've also always had been fascinated with. Outer space and the whole entire universe with all it's mystery and danger kinda excites me. Just with these two aspects forms a tremendously good story. I mean the other hero stories are just as good, but Thor's is by far the most intriguing in all it's fantasies. I digress haha.

The movie follows on from the first, but even if you hadn't seen the first one, this one would still make absolute sense. It follows a mythical story of power, love and danger, but this movie develops the plot of Jane and Thor together, as well as exploring Loki as a character and his motivations. There were so many unexpected twists and turns in the plot that really surprised me, but nevertheless it didn't disappoint. I really can't wait for the next movie to come out, because like Harry Potter, this is an extraordinary tale of fantastical worlds and mythology, both of which trigger the world of imagination and dreams like no other.

Rating : 6.85/10

Gravity :

I heard contrasting reviews for this movie; some said it was the best movie they've seem this year, and others said it was terrible. From the negative reviews, people complained about there was top much dialogue but really, what do you expect when you're in space haha.

The beginning had a slow start but when things got intense, things got INTENSE. I have to say though, when I was watching it, I was really impatient because everything in space forces you to move slower than you usually do. But nevertheless Sandra Bullock really brought out the emotions and the feelings of the movie and her character, and the filming made the movie so real, as if you were there with the characters. Almost everything you would think could go wrong in space, does and this movie really highlights the sheer impossibility to overcome almost every obstacle and also the realities of space and the fear of the unknown.

Rating : 6.65/10

Both movies were amazing in their own way, although I didn't enjoy Gravity as much as I did Thor 2, I really recommend both movies, they will be worth your time.

Hope you enjoyed xo

anon request; how was my weekend

Weekend was .... strange- strange as in not like my usual routine

Did a post on what I did on Saturday already but today ( Sunday ) I went to watch two movies back to back (brief movie reviews coming up shortly).

- woke up at 9.30a.m which was soooo early since I only managed to get to sleep at 2am
last night (surprisingly getting up and doing some maths hw helped greatly)
- first watched Thor 2 and then Gravity
- got home and really need to write my essay now- anxiety is starting to creep in so after these blog posts I'm going to do exactly that

At the moment, feeling a bit off- don't know how to describe it but maybe it's because of the weather and the fact I'm tired and  watched a little too many movies all at once haha

Have a good one xo

anon request; what I did today

Today (Saturday - 9th nov.) :

- woke up at 10 am and went to a dentist appointment at 10.45am but waited for about half an hour -_-
- went to buy chatime and sushi for lunch and took it home to eat so I could do my English essay
- left home at 3pm to go English workshop at Matrix; I'm kinda annoyed because my tutor pretty much rewrote half my essay by saying it wasn't that great ...
- went straight to chem class
- got home around 8 and had dinner (homemade viet whoo)
- doing some maths as I type haha and need to shower soon

Pretty mundane day but tomorrow I'm planning to watch two movies back to back so really need to do my work haha

Hope you enjoyed

anon request - top 3 friends and Sydney

Top three friends in no order :

- Julia ; is my closest friend and I met her back in 7th grade during school camp. Funnily enough, we didn't really know each other that well (only shared the occasional hallway greetings) until grade 8 when we were placed into the same class. We both were loners and didn't know anyone else from that class and have stuck together since then!

- Ece ; although she'll probably never read this, she has the most down to earth personality I have ever met in my young life. And although we don't spent enough time together, she still one of my top friends. I met Ece back when I worked at Moochi. She was one of the first crew members I met and really helped me adjust to my job.

- ugh the next spot is hard....cant choose so won't hahahaa unless I think of someone

Okay I know I didn't mention any guy friends but I guess I bond with chicks more (like understanding emotional crap and stuff and sharing period stories hahahaa)

"Stuff I like to do around Sydney" :

- food adventures (pls try: wagaya, mizuya, max brenner, holy basil, and the regents place - misschu in particular)
- shop
- take a step back from your busy life, walk around the harbour and suburb streets and just ...stroll. You begin to notice things that weren't there before and things become more tranquil (so cheesy but really so true)
- cafe hopping
- movies
- karaoke
- just hanging in parks with friends
- alone time in the park with coffee

Any more suggestions send them to ask.fm/mishqurl :)

What is life.

Kay, so it's 11.45 pm and I'm in bed. On my flippin' iPod which is running on 20% battery right now, so gotta run since I need this for my alarm to wake me up for school tomorrow. Thank fucking god I have a free period, I'm fucking stressed right now, not really but more than usual. I'm usually a super chill person, but right now, there's just so many things to get out of my head right now so I can sleep. Alas, stream of consciousness now lol, modernism fuck that.

So tomorrow I have a freaking maths exam haven't studied much for that, praying I'm confident in what my brain already knows will get me a decent mark. But omg Saturday !! What a day that's gonna be.

Staff meeting at 8.30am, which I think people will run up late for, and I have coaching at 9.30 am so I literally am not able to stay for the whole meeting, shoot me. Not only that but afterwards I have a dentist appointment at 12.45pm and I gotta make sure I eat lunch before that cos they're tightening my braces omg. Then AFTERWARDS, have to work which is a freaking close shift which means ill get home fucking late. What is life.

Focusing on the good stuff, omg today !! I went running after like 5 months of no exercising, my fitness level hasn't decreased as much as I thought it had, but its still inn pretty bad shape, I'm working on it. Also !! Omg Jenn Im from clothes encounters freaking replied to my comment, was on cloud nine for about half an hour then realised I needed to study for maths fml... Made wontons for dinner with my dad after workout which was good, they tasted pretty good hurhur.

Life aint that bad, can't wait to just get these 2 years to finally rule what I want in life, screw this shithole lol.

Okay, mind clear will sleep peacefully now, nights have a great weekend.

Update: let the games begin.

So school has started now.... Wow, it's gonna be so competitive and stressful, I'm totally not prepared for that, haha.
Anyways, so first half week of school was alright, getting used to 4 periods of 80 minutes a day is so tiring, I actually thought the day felt shorter though.
On Saturday, went tutoring in the morning - the fire alarm the shopping centre went off and these firemen came in to fix it but I think it was just a false alarm. afterwards, had work which was pretty good. :) then got home and chilled.
Today, will have tennis very soon and then planning to do all my homework today.
That's it, have a good week! :)

17.01 - worked, can't remember what happened though lol

18.01 - went to watch a movie with my dad n sister, which was parental guidance. f**k it sucks, don't watch it.

19.01 - left for cairns this day. omg, i was really nervous to get on the plane because i hadn't gone on in such a long time, and i hate the feeling of the dryness in my mouth because of the aircon, lol. anyways, about 3 hours to cairns from sydney which was good, cos i don't think i could've handled any longer, haha. when we got there, it was raining, and it was really sticky and humid. hot as well. we arranged to hire a car for the week, and we went to get some lunch. fyi, i'll be uploading some photos from cairns soon, after i sort out some more photos from instagram lol. anyways, after lunch went to book some stuff for the rest of the week: ie. snorkelling, etc. then went swimming in the hotel/apartment pool because we felt hot and sticky lolz.

20.01 - the weather turned out really nice despite the weather forecast so we cancelled the bookings for that day and went to go snorkelling and diving instead. wow, it was an amazing experience. that's another few things off my bucketlist yay. anyways, there were three 'destinations' at this opal reef, to view the coral and fish and stuff. the first one, i went snorkelling to get a "feel of the water" before i went diving, and omg it's so mindblowing to swim with fish. i think that's as close as i'll ever get with fish lol. it was stinger season, so we all had to wear these stinger suits, which were basically wet suits i think. so many jellyfish everywhere, they were so cute, some of them stung my lips and stuff cos it was exposed lol. and then second and third time around i went scuba diving. wow, i was so scared for the first time, i swear i was gonna s**t my pants anytime soon, haha. we had to pass some tests to make sure we'll survive underwater like stuff to do when going lower and how to deal with the pressure of the water. there was only one other guy that went diving with me both times. first time, we were both to scared so we concentrated on swimming and following our instructor, but second time, we actually appreciated the reef and looked at stuff close up.

21.01 - went to the beach in the morning which was really relaxing and a good start to the day. and then got back to the apartment to swim in the pool again haha. in the afternoon, went to get changed and went white water rafting. if you don't know what that is, go google it, and you'll know what it is by looking in the images, hehe. anyways, i was terrified at first, but it was super easy and fun. great day hehe.

22.01 - we left for a full day tour to the daintree rainforest, which is in the world heritage list hehe. we were the only family on that day because it was pouring ! so we managed to kind of have a more privatised kinda tour which was amazing because our guide was really friendly. anyways, the rainforest was beautiful, spotted one of the rarest birds in the world which was a treat - the cassowary. there are only about 2000 in the entire world - only about 50 of them in this rainforest. what a treat, it was beautiful. for lunch, we had steak which was really nice. we also managed to spot a wild crocodile on a cruise on a river. really nice day.

23.01 - last day at cairns/port douglas and so we drove down to cairns to check out the place and sight see i guess. we also went down to palm cove which is apparently a really popular honeymoon/wedding venue, and they have ethereal hotels and resorts. had a mocha there as well, because it started to pour and we wanted to wait it out. afterwards, we went back to the hotel and just chilled.

24.01 - our flight was around 12pm, and got back to sydney around 3.30pm, got home and relaxed. didn't do much except unpack and then head out for dinner.

25.01 - went out with my manager to hang out around the city for lunch. afterwards, we went to this cosy cafe to play board games lol.

26.01 - happy australia day lol ! had to work this day.

27.01 - didn't do anything, stayed home and relaxed, and watched australian open mens grand final and yay for djokovic ! i love you <3 i love tennis hehe.

28.01 ( today ) - worked again, and now just chilling. omg, second last day of freedom before school, i'm like super depressed. this morning, i was reading through some earlier posts from the holidays and i sounded so happy, omg, i miss my freedom already.

tomorrow, i'm working again then have to rush to matrix coaching for english and probably will go home and sulk until school starts on wednesday. f*******************k. lol

thanks for reading !

Update: nonexistent

As you can probably tell, my blog is pretty much non-existent. Haven't been bothered to upload stuff, I prefer to collect all my instagram photos and make it into a photogrid and right now, I'm 3 photos less, so please bear with me.

School is about to start soon - completely depressed over realising this. But I think I've have a pretty fulfilling holiday, just wish it was forever. But after these 2 years, I'll be completely free, which is mindblowing actually, because that would mean high school is done. :(

Anyways, I'll try to blog more, I always say that, but it'll probably help with the stress after school starts. (:

Anyways, I haven't really been myself these days and I've made this little playlist that I really like. It's helping with the anxiety I usually get before school starts again.

Update: cairns

Howdy yall,

So yesterday (Tuesday) went out with my besties. We went to the amf bowling place where we had unlimited access to bowling and laser tag. It was my first time playing laser tag, and honestly it was such a big step for me personally. I didn't really know what I was doing but we went laser tagging with just the four of us. And omg the place was so dark and lonely with freaky glowing skeletons and stuff. I was scared s**tless mind the language. I was so scared, but then the adrenalin kicked in and you're just running around like maniacs haha.

We went for a game of bowling and had fries while playing cos we were hungry. so afterwards, we wanted our moneys worth so we went for another round of tag, and this time there were others and we had 4 teams. Our team won cos one of my friends got 2000 and something points! Crazyyy!

Played some arcade afterwards and got quite a lot of tickets.

So left around 1 and went out lunch with sister n dad, which was nice. Got home and just chilled. Really trying to enjoy my chill time before real s**t starts to happen.

Today (Wednesday), in the morning, went to the vet to get my kitty vaccinated. Afterwards, came home had lunch and cleaned out my wardrobe. Kinda. Lol. Need to start packing for cairns soon and figuring out how to sort my stuff. Haha. I want my own suitcase but we have to pack everything into 2 suitcases for the whole family since my parents want to pack light to drive around the area.

So yeah, basically my packed holiday. I swear this has to be my most packed holiday ever.

Oh! On Monday had a night shift at work, and talked a lot with coworkers. Talked into some real deep stuff, had plenty to think about while drifting off to sleep.

Hope you have a good week and thanks for reading!

Update: life

So basically, have not blogged in quite a while and Julia has been bugging me to make a new post.

so on Monday, I had to go to work early as heck in the morning - 9am and I was so tired, because night before, I slept at 2 just waiting for the roster to come out.

My shift finished at 3pm and then went home and chilled.

Tuesday was so hot. Far out it was like 40degrees. Thank God, didn't have to work so just switched in, my air con and just chilled on my computer.

On Wednesday however, had to wake up early to go to a staff meeting and manager treated us to a free breakfast. Afterwards, went tennis with a friend. And omg I was trying to teach him how to play tennis which was so annoying cos he was so damn annoying and stubborn. Far out.

On Thursday (today), worked from 10am til 4pm and then met up with Julia and hung out with her for dinner. It was so nice to catch up with her and everything. Now, in her house chilling, will have to go soon because my pay just arrived and I need to go and get it. Oh and Julias new house is so big. That's what she said.

Beauty Favourites of 2012

Saw heaps and heaps of Youtube videos on this so I thought I'd do a blog post on it, since I haven't really been posting all that much. :c

Anyhoo, I don't have that many but here are some things that I really really liked in 2012.

L-R: Lancome Star Bronzer (sample size) | Clinique Blush in smoldering plum (sample size) | Clinique sample quad (beach plum, strawberry fudge, like mink duo on the bottom row | Coral Colours Eyepencil Kohl in Midnight | Rimmel professional eyebrow pencil | tonymoly water jelly tint | garnier bb cream (oil-free)

 Lancome Star Bronzer:
I got this near the beginning of 2012 as a sample from a purchase my mum got. And as you can see, I've been using it religiously for the whole year and I have hit pan. It goes on pigmented, but not overly pigmented, so it's easy to blend away and it looks super natural. It has some gold glitter/shimmer in it, but it's hardly noticeable on the skin, especially if you blend it away.

Clinique Blush in smouldering plum
My mum bought stuff from Clinique and I got this from a gift sample thing. The lady was like, 'this might be a bit too dark for you but oh well', and then I went home and tried it, it's not at all ! On my skintone, it looks really nice and natural. Doesn't even look plum - it turns out more warm and a dark coral tone on my skin. It's not very pigmented but when I finish this, I'll be trying out other stuff hehe.

 Clinique sample quad
I've used this the whole year for nearly all my eyeball looks hahaha. But I haven't touched the purple/plum shadow because I'm not into that stuff ahaha. However, I've hit pan on the other three. The top right is a duochrome shadow, it looks pink, but when layered on the skin, it comes out as a really warm gold colour. It's gorgeous and I've used this for my inner corners and tearduct. The bottom left shade is a basic champagne colour which I started off using as a browbone highlight but then I realised you can use this as a face highlighter and I've been using it so much I'm nearly out of it. :C The last one is the brown one which I've hit pan on near the end of December because I've never really used it. But I started using it as smudged liner instead. (:

 Tonymoly Water Jelly Tint
I think I've mentioned this heaps but I really like this. I don't ever use it on my cheeks cos I never really like using blush anyways. But this looks super natural on the lips and I really like it ! When I'm out of it, I'll have to purchase it again or look for one that similar.

Garnier Oil-free BB Cream in Light
I recently got this around the end of November when it was on sale. I have the other one that Garnier makes, and comparing them, this one has heaps more coverage and is more matte. Really enjoying this.

 Coral Colours Eyepencil in Midnight
I don't know where you can get this, but I got this free with the purchase of a magazine. I expected it to be super cheap and crappy and it'll smudge everywhere, but this is actually really amazing. It doesn't smudge at all! It has a smudger foam thing on the end of it, and you have to work sort of fast if you're going to smudge it out because it dries quite quick. Nevertheless, really like this. Only downside, I wish it would sharpen itself, because I'm super lazy. :P

Rimmel London Professional Eyebrow Pencil in Dark Brown
Initially bought this near the beginning of last year, and I didn't know how to use it. Since then after watching heaps of Youtube videos, I learnt how to use it, and it's really good. (:

L-R: Lash & Brow Comb | small crease brush | ecotools eye shadow brush | realTechniques blush brush | realTechniques expert face brush
 Lash & Brow Comb
I got this along with several other brushes for free in this small kit that came with a purchase in the Duty free shop when I was getting back from New Zealand. I didn't really want the kit, but I was like, worth a shot. And it seriously surprised me. I didn't know something free could be that good ! All the brushes were actually decent quality. And I've been using this brush for after mascara and brows, it's super handy !

Small crease Brush
Like I said earlier, I got a kit from the duty-free store, and this was another brush that came with the kit. It's super small so it's perfect for the crease and inner corner and I just never expected it to be so soft.

Ecotools Eyeshadow Brush
I got this from my bestie (THANK YOU ♥) in a beauty exchange box because she knew I liked to QUOTE: "do a lot of stuff with my eyeballs". And this is really good for just anything really. Super soft and has a tapered end so I can do a whole eyelook with shadow just using this brush.

realTechniques Blush Brush
I got this online, because it's CRAZY EXPENSIVE IN AUSTRALIA. THIS IS F*CKING $40 OVER HERE (excuse the language). I got this online for $9.99! Anyways, I heard from reviews this is really good for powder, not blush because it's way too big, and that's what I use it for. It's really soft, and when I first got it I couldn't stop feeling it hehe. Anyways, really recommend this, and the whole collection.

realTechniques Expert Face Brush
I got this as well after reading really positive reviews on it. I didn't really use it at all because I don't wear foundation  except for formal and then when I started using it with my concealer and BB cream, it makes the biggest difference ever. It buffs it in so naturally you can't really tell you're wearing anything. Highly recommend this!

That's all I have for beauty favourites. I hope you enjoyed reading this. Honestly, I get a lot of my makeup as gifts or sample sizes from other purchases from my mum, so yeah, I'm a real makeupp cheapie.

Anyways, thanks for reading.

Michelle's Style | 03.01.13

shirt - internet clothing | shorts - berry B | belt - finkl | cardigan - dotti | shoes - diy converses | bag - gift from friend
I realised the last time I've done this kind of post was like last year October, so I thought new year, new post. Haha. (: So today, went out with a group of close friends and my sister to watch Life of Pi, WHICH by the way, is really good! Just super depressing haha. Anyways, so dressed super casual and comfy.

So today's weather was rather hot, so dressed accordingly. The top there is actually a hi-neck sleeveless cropped top, so I paired it with these really comfy high waisted shorts. It was also sort of windy so I also threw on a short sleeved cardigan.

As for shoes, omg, I always wear these - black socks with my converses, I don't have to think to much, I just wear them haha.

Anyways, hope you enjoyed, thanks for reading!
